The village is home to Street End Cricket Club, a friendly and welcoming cricket club based just outside Canterbury in the heart of Lower Hardres. Set in a picturesque rural location, the club offers a great space for players and supporters to enjoy England’s favourite summer sport in a relaxed community atmosphere. Whether you’re an experienced cricketer or picking up a bat for the first time, the club is keen to encourage participation from all ages and abilities.
The club runs adult teams on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as a thriving junior section with coaching and match play throughout the summer for young players from about 5 to 15 years old. It’s a strong focal point for sport in the parish and a great place to meet neighbours, enjoy social fixtures, and be part of village life.
